Elonomate
Ethical clothing as portable satire
Elonomate is a small act of linguistic sabotage. It belongs to a family of names that includes Elonomate, Elonomates, Elonmate, Elonmates, Elominate, Elimonate, Elinomate, Elonnomate and other unstable variants. Each name suggests several meanings at once. None is required to behave. Each can sound like a friend, a nominee, a machine, a companion, a mistake, a brand, a parasite, a joke, a warning and/or an attempt to eliminate something that should never have become so powerful in the first place. Ambiguity is intentional.
A naturist clothing brand, obviously
Elonomate is part of a wider project that also includes Mushwear and Dickwit. This may appear contradictory. The project is rooted in naturist values, not generally requiring more clothing. That is precisely the point, because much clothing and fashion is already excessive and unnecessary. Some clothing is impractical, status-driven, wasteful, exploitative and absurd. Elonomate begins from that contradiction, refuses to hide and is not essential. It is presented as portable satire: fabric as argument, slogan as social interruption, garment as public evidence. A t-shirt may be less free than a naked body, but may yet carry a useful message to those who refuse to look directly at bodies, power or money. Elonomate supports public-interest works through satirical and self-aware clothing, e.g:
funding non-profit cultural, educational and body-freedom projects;
supporting public-interest criticism of extractive capitalism;
exposing the absurdity of corporate personality cults;
turning brand language back against domination, capture and greed;
making clothing that admits its own ridiculousness;
creating visible, wearable jokes that are also small legal and economic facts.
Elonomate does not seek to become another lifestyle cult. It does not ask anyone to worship technology, wealth, founders, billionaires, influencers, platforms, logos, markets, clothes or nakedness.
Portable satire
A person wearing Elonomate should not look like a customer obediently advertising a brand, but a walking footnote to late capitalism. Possible clothing lines may include:
Elonomate: For ethical clothing that knows the world already has too many brands.
Elonomates: For accomplices, collaborators, sceptics and unwilling participants in economies of absurdity.
Elominate: For a wish to eliminate extractive power without becoming another extractive power.
Mushwear: For soft bodies, fungal humour, naturist contradictions and textile humilities.
Dickwit: For rude, inclusive, non-gendered clothing that refuses the dignity of bad authority.
Anti-Capture Licence
Elonomate is not a decorative asset for systems it criticises. Future use of the name, imagery, products or associated marks may be governed by an Anti-Capture Licence. The purpose of such a licence would be simple: prevent the project from being absorbed by the same extractive forces it exists to ridicule. An Anti-Capture Licence may prohibit or restrict use by organisations involved in:
authoritarian propaganda;
surveillance abuse;
exploitative labour practices;
fossil-fuel greenwashing;
misogynistic, racist, homophobic or transphobic campaigns;
deceptive philanthropy;
corporate reputation laundering;
attacks on bodily freedom, artistic freedom or legitimate public-interest criticism.
The licence may also require transparent production, fair labour standards, public-benefit contributions and/or clear separation between satire and endorsement. In plainer language: Elonomate is available for mischief, not capture. Aim is not private vanity merchandise, but to use the tools of capitalism — names, domains, trade marks, clothing, licensing, commerce and spectacle — to redirect attention and money toward public benefit. Surplus income from Elonomate clothing may support non-profit work connected with:
body freedom;
naturist culture;
anti-shame education;
satire and taboo language;
ethical publishing;
public-interest legal and institutional criticism;
cultural projects that resist capture by wealth, status or bad authority.
This is not anti-commerce: it is anti-capture of tools. Commerce can be useful when it is transparent, limited, ethical and answerable to public purposes. Elonomate is not a god, but an independent satirical and public-interest project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to any person, company, platform, vehicle manufacturer, technology corporation, social media service, artificial-intelligence business, space company, museum, political party, religious body, government, billionaire, fan club or anti-fan club, unless expressly stated. Any resemblance to the language of corporate hero-worship is part of the problem being examined. Elonomate is in development as a satirical clothing and public-benefit concept. Related names, domains and trade marks are being organised as a family of marks, meanings and redirects. Some names may become products. Some may remain jokes. Some may become essays, labels, licences, exhibitions, performances, lectures or small acts of useful confusion. If capitalism insists on turning everything into a brand, then satire may as well register some trade marks and send the invoice to public benefit.
