Crown Jewel of Infamy opens the Serpenous opera with a fake coronation object: a coprolitic relic displayed as if it were dynastic treasure. Its golden rod suggests ceremony, display, conquest and ownership; the object itself refuses grandeur. This is the first shit of the cycle: the sovereign deposit, the royal remainder, the jewel that reveals monarchy, masculinity and moral authority as things humans may polish, mount and worship long after they should have decomposed.
